Leah Richardson

Leah Richardson is an international public health nutritionist with focus on emergencies. She has a decade of experience primarily within the realms of technical guidance, policy and strategy development and capacity development.   She has co-authored numerous publications including the WFP manual "Measuring and Interpreting Malnutrition and Mortality", and the Harmonized Training Package module on "General Food Distribution".  Among other things, Leah has applied her expertise in nutrition assessment and food assistance to developing Humanitarian Policy and Reform and worked for a number of years within the IASC Cluster Approach.

With the bulk of her experience at the global level, Leah has also worked in Africa and Asia. Previous organizational experience includes the UN (WFP and UNICEF), international NGO, and governmental agencies. A native English speaker, Leah has a passing knowledge of French, Spanish, Italian and Swedish.
